These terms and conditions apply to the Chichens app (referred to as the “Application”) for mobile devices, developed by (referred to as the “Service Provider”) as a free service.
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using the Application, you automatically agree to these terms. It is highly recommended that you carefully read and comprehend these terms before engaging with the Application. Unauthorized copying, altering of the Application, any portion of it, or our trademarks is strictly forbidden. Attempts to retrieve the Application’s source code, translate it into other languages, or produce derivative works are prohibited. All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights associated with the Application are owned by the Service Provider.
Service Modifications
The Service Provider is committed to making the Application as useful and effective as possible. Therefore, they reserve the right to update the Application or introduce fees for their services at any time, for any reason. You will be clearly informed of any charges related to the Application or its services.
Data Handling
The Application collects and processes personal data you provide to the Service Provider to deliver the service. It is your duty to ensure the security of your device and access to the Application. The Service Provider strongly discourages jailbreaking or rooting your device, which removes software restrictions set by your device’s official operating system. Such actions may expose your device to malware, viruses, or harmful programs, weaken its security features, and could prevent the Application from working properly or at all.
Third-Party Services
Please note that the Application incorporates third-party services, each governed by their own Terms and Conditions. These include Google Play Services, Google Analytics for Firebase, and Facebook.
Connectivity and Charges
Certain features of the Application require an active internet connection, whether via Wi-Fi or your mobile network. The Service Provider is not liable if the Application does not perform fully due to a lack of Wi-Fi access or if your data limit is reached.
When using the Application outside a Wi-Fi zone, your mobile network provider’s terms still apply. As a result, you may face charges from your provider for data usage while connected to the Application, or other third-party fees. By using the Application, you accept liability for such charges, including roaming fees if you use it outside your home region or country without disabling data roaming. If you are not the bill payer for the device, it is assumed you have permission from the bill payer to use the Application.
User Responsibility
The Service Provider cannot always be held accountable for how you use the Application. For example, it is your responsibility to keep your device charged. If your device’s battery dies and you cannot access the service, the Service Provider is not responsible.
Service Provider Liability
Regarding the Service Provider’s responsibility for your use of the Application, they strive to keep it current and accurate. However, they depend on third parties for some information made available to you. The Service Provider bears no responsibility for any direct or indirect losses you may incur from relying solely on the Application’s functionality.
Updates and Termination
The Service Provider may update the Application from time to time. The Application is currently compatible with specific operating system requirements, which may change, requiring you to download updates to keep using it. The Service Provider does not promise to always update the Application to remain relevant to you or compatible with your device’s operating system version. You agree to accept updates when offered. The Service Provider may also discontinue the Application and terminate its availability at any time without prior notice. Unless stated otherwise, upon termination: (a) the rights and licenses granted in these terms will cease; (b) you must stop using the Application and, if required, remove it from your device.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
The Service Provider may revise these Terms and Conditions periodically. You are encouraged to check this page regularly for updates. Changes will be communicated by posting the revised Terms and Conditions here.
